Palmerston North, located in the centre of New Zealand’s North Island, is a growing city with a desire for improved, sustainable lighting. Their City Council has implemented the key objective of increasing illumination levels and improving environmental sustainability by updating their lighting solutions. Pierlite Group Account Manager Morris Jury, and electrical wholesaler JA Russell, in conjunction with GES Electrical Contractors, have provided a luminaire which will effectively reduce the council’s ongoing maintenance costs, whilst also aligning with their sustainability goals through energy reduction.

Seamless integration with custom Momentum Troffers

The Pierlite Momentum 1 is a fully configurable, sustainable troffer that offers design flexibility and outstanding performance. The troffers aesthetically pleasing design and side-lit panels provide a seamless integration into the requirements of modern workplaces today. A highly efficient luminaire, up to 130 lumens per watt, the Momentum 1 was the perfect fit for the council’s requirements and has left them very satisfied.

Implementing the Momentum 1 troffer into offices within the Palmerston North City Council has effectively led to an increase in illumination levels by an average of 30%, as well as a significant increase in their uniformity. Pierlite was able to directly align with the council’s sustainability goals, with the Momentum 1 leading to a 20% energy reduction and has also resulted in significantly reduced maintenance costs for Palmerston North City Council.
